Buccal (intraoral) massage is a complementary facial treatment that may support deep cheek and jaw tension for some people. At Her Solis it is used selectively, often alongside lymphatic and external facial work, and is not positioned as a cure, a guaranteed sculpting method, or a replacement for dental or medical care.

If clenching, facial heaviness, or lower-face density are part of the picture, the treatment is adapted to the tissue on the day rather than forced into a fixed routine.

Your Buccal Facial begins with a consultation to understand your specific concerns — whether that’s jaw tension, cheek heaviness, clenching patterns, or a feeling that the lower face stays chronically loaded.

The treatment may include gentle intraoral massage techniques, working on the muscles within the cheeks and along the jawline. Some areas can feel tender, but the approach should stay measured, communicative and restorative rather than forceful.

30 Minute Session: A focused session targeting key areas of tension in the jaw and facial muscles.

1 Hour Session: A more comprehensive treatment that may combine Buccal Massage with lymphatic drainage and external facial support when that broader structure suits the tissue.

If you want the parent overview first, read our Holistic Facials Australia guide. If you want the fuller explanation of when intraoral work fits, read our Buccal Massage Gold Coast guide. When puffiness, water retention or tissue heaviness are a major part of the picture, Facial Puffiness Support helps separate cosmetic heaviness from red flags, and our Facial Lymphatic Drainage Gold Coast page explains why lymphatic work is often the starting point.

• May support deep cheek and jaw comfort
• May help some clients feel less loaded through the lower face
• Can be paired with lymphatic work when puffiness and tension overlap
• May support facial softness and muscle awareness
• Can leave the face looking more rested in the short term
• Calmer pacing may feel regulating for some people
• More targeted than external facial massage alone when intraoral work is appropriate

Before your treatment:
• Arrive with a clean face, free of heavy makeup
• Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment
• Avoid any dental procedures 48 hours prior

After your treatment:
• Drink plenty of water to support lymphatic drainage
• Avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours
• You may experience mild tenderness — this is normal and will ease within 24-48 hours
• For best results, we recommend regular sessions

If you have any specific concerns or medical conditions relating to your jaw, mouth, teeth or face, please let us know prior to your appointment so we can tailor your treatment accordingly. Severe pain, locking, infection, recent oral procedures or sudden bite changes should be assessed appropriately first.

Pre-purchasing facials is available for Gold Coast only. Melbourne bookings can be made directly through our booking system.
