Bali has this way of slowing everything down.
The days stretch longer, the light feels softer, and your whole body starts to exhale.
I went to a lot of places this trip — some were fine, others over-hyped — but these are the ones that I loved, the ones I’d go back to and recommend.
This is not a treatment guide or a clinical article. It is a light Her Solis travel note about rhythm: food that feels grounding, movement that feels supportive, warm water, early mornings, long meals, and the kind of stillness that reminds you how much the body responds to pace. If that is the part you are drawn to, you may also like our guide to Nervous System and Skin, our approach to Holistic Facials Australia, or the softer context behind Facial Lymphatic Drainage Gold Coast.
Where to Eat in Uluwatu
Ulu Garden
My absolute favourite. You can come here at any time — breakfast, lunch, or dinner — and it just feels right. The food is fresh and nourishing, and the whole space has this open, earthy rhythm that makes you want to stay all day.
Fleur Café
A beautiful spot for a slower morning. Light, airy, and tucked just enough off the main path, it’s perfect for a matcha or something light after the beach or before a class. Their matcha is balanced (not too sweet), and the vibe is relaxed — it’s easy to lose track of time here.
Ulu Fish House
Right by the ocean and ideal for that fresh, coastal lunch. Think grilled fish, bright salads, local produce, and the sound of waves in the background.
Yuki & Tabu
Both Japanese, both incredible. Yuki is calm, minimal, and perfect for golden hour. Tabu is darker and moodier — better for cocktails and long dinners.
Osteria Luna
Hidden, romantic, softly lit. The kind of Italian you think about long after you’ve left — handmade pasta, candlelight, and warmth in every detail.
Where to Move + Reset
Ulu Active
If you want a proper workout that still feels good — this is it. The space is beautiful, filled with natural light, and classes are structured but balanced. It has that supportive, community energy that makes you want to move.
ATMOS Spa
My favourite ritual in Bali. Their lymphatic and sculpting massages were the kind of travel ritual I wanted to repeat — I went three times and would go again in a heartbeat. Add the sauna and cold plunge for the full reset. I left feeling softer, clearer and more settled.
Grün Resort
Even if you’re not staying there, go for their Pilates class. It’s surrounded by lush greenery, quiet, and beautifully held. Everything about it feels calm and conscious — it’s one of those places that brings you straight back into your body.
Where to Swim + Slow Down
Thomas Beach
My favourite in Uluwatu. Rent a daybed, order a coconut, and just let the day move around you. The water is crystal clear, the sand soft, and it’s that perfect mix of energy and stillness.
Pererenan Beach
If you’re up early, head here before it gets busy. Mornings are magic — soft light, long walks, surfers in the distance. It’s raw and a little wilder than Uluwatu, but that’s what makes it special.
A Simple Day in Uluwatu Might Look Like
Breakfast at Ulu Garden,
Morning matcha at Fleur Café,
A strength or Pilates class at Ulu Active,
Lunch at Ulu Fish House,
An afternoon lymphatic massage and sauna at ATMOS Spa,
Then dinner under the fairy lights at Osteria Luna.
The perfect rhythm — sun, movement, nourishment, and stillness.
Back on the Gold Coast, this is the same kind of rhythm I think about inside the Her Solis treatment room: not rushing the body, not forcing the face, and letting skin, tissue and the nervous system be met with more patience. For studio context, start with the Gold Coast studio page.
